The Granary Gardens

EXHALE

The Granary Gardens are something special.  Nestled at the foot of the Fulking Escarpment and in a designated Area of Natural Beauty, every angle of the garden offers a gorgeous view of the South Downs National Park and surrounding fields. There are east- and west-facing gardens with seating areas, three outdoor dining tables and established planting.  Through the gates the field awaits, with its hedged orchard, shady trees, enclosed pond, wild flower meadows in summer, and stream. There is plenty of space for running, playing and fun, or for imagination and contemplation - all against the backdrop of the South Downs.

Around The Granary

ENJOY

The immediate area offers great opportunities for walking, biking, horseriding, fishing and golf - as well as more leisurely pursuits.  The South Downs Way crosses the Fulking Escarpment above the Granary and can be reached in fifteen minutes uphill by footpath. Devil's Dyke, popular with paragliders and kite-flyers, is thirty minutes walk.    Brighton is just 6 miles - and another world - away on the other side of the South Downs.  The Shepherd & Dog pub, a well-established favourite across the area, is four minutes walk from the Granary.  The popular Royal Oak in Poynings is a mile away. There is something for everyone.
